so exactly is the proper way to wash your hands before doing anything in your aquarium? I've been in the hobby for about 2-3 years and I've just been running my hands under hot water

thats all I do too, + take off any jewlery or w/e.

Im pretty sure that's enough, maybe check to make sure your bleeding or not?
And dont go in there with a bandaid on.

15 seconds is standard handwashing time and well, i cant come up with anything else.

OH, one more thing, sing happy birthday, that takes 15 seconds.

well doc's say a 3 min wash yet evet the soap left on where does it go
u tank use calving gloves

If you are really worried rinse in hydrogen peroxide.

Just wash with soap or nothing at all.. the trick is to make sure that your rinse real thoroughly to make sure nothing leaches back to the tank. If i have strong soap ( one that has strong fragrance ) , i just skip using soap and just use water.

no need to only time i wash is if im eating well i dont even then but always after the bathroom
