i think i have that same one, the prizm red sea one, I didn't realize how loud it was until i turned off my air stone in my bucket.
I might have to quiet it down with a new one.

You can make a silencer to quiet it down. If you already own one you can try one out. After I returned it I looked into why it was so loud and many people recommended putting an air inlet silencer on it.

Most skimmers will come with one, Red Sea should have included one as well. I probably would still be using the skimmer, if it did have one.
