I will be upgrading my FOWLR (currently, but i will be getting some corals when i move) to a 40 gallon and am wondering what a good protien skimmer would be. But as always bigger is better so the tank may be bigger than this but less than 100 gallons for sure. So what would be a good skimmer?

$150-300 would be what I'd like to spend. Any good HOB Skimmers in that range?

Tanks is a 100 Gallon, but would like to use the skimmer when I upgrade to a 250 gallon.
When I upgrade I imagine that it'll go on a sump instead of a tank HOB.

i like the ASM brand. in fact its usually the only model i ever recommend. About the same cost as the Euro's mentioned. For 300 you could get the G-3 model and be skimming about 6 times your tank volume lol. otherwise the g-2 model is always a good bet.
