I'm looking around at protein skimmers because of a previous post. Looking for a hang on tank style. I really like the Aqua C Remora but are there any others out there that are good? I saw some reviews on the Seaclone 100 and alot of people liked it. Thoughts?

It's going on a 29 gallon tank

Don't get a Seaclone. Garbage.
I've got a Coralife super skimmer myself. Works OK, but I need to upgrade now that I have a bigger tank. Thinking of getting one of thesehttp://www.bigalsonline.ca/Fish_Protein-Skimmers_In-Sump-Protein-Skimmers_Berlin-X2-Turbo-Protein-Skimmer_8407553_102.html?tc=fish
Reveiws on skimmers seem to be so mixed though. It's hard to decide.

I know you suggested any others, but I have an AquaC Remora Pro and I really like it. Its about as easy as possible to use and it seems to do its job very nicely. I would definitely recommend it.

reef octopus hang of the back models are very well as good as the aqua c and not as pricey.
Aquacave.com has them

I really like the AquaC Remora pro, they work well, Ive also had a Reef Octopus and I liked it very much also, though my first suggestion would be the Aqua C you wont go wrong with either one.

I have also owned 2 Seaclone skimmers. They dont work. Let me say that again, they dont work at all. As a newbie, I bought them because thats what Petco sold. I thought that since they were making the vortex, like in the instructions all was well. When I put a real skimmer on my tank, I couldnt believe how much the skimmer (Aqua C) pulled.

29g no need for a skimmer 50g + = skimmer

-1 here.

I am sure you already know that a quality skimmer will make life much easier and your tank much more happy and healthy.

I too highly recommend the Aqua C Remora skimmer. Very simple to use and clean while making a lot of dark skimmate.

The Aqua C will cost a little more, about 40 dollars or so. So Reef Octopus has that going for it. I haven't personally used them. I have heard good things from others however.

Brother has used reef octo...I know others that have used reefocto in the coral business. Both now use AquaC.

Reefocto's are good, but AquaC is maintenance and adjustment free, which is foolproof with a beginner.
