how do you prune amazon swords? mine are in a 37g. 30x12x23, and they are coming out the top. can i just cut the center stalk or whatever that thing is?

when they grow new plants start coming out and you can see the root of the long stalk just cut that off

cut the bigger leafs. i have had swords out grow my 85 gal. they just get to big for smaller tanks.
