lol.. i once saw a shrimp still alive while my mother was preparing lunch.
i threw it in the pond ... i never saw it again. :(

fried hito is yummy. ever had jumping shrimp salad? it's live small shrimps like ghost shrimps with some suka, asin, bawang, and sibuyas and you eat it and they literally are still jumping around lol.

pare, dito sa bohol i've tried eating live squid and live crabs! just pull a pincer off the fighting crustacean, crack it open to reveal the soft meat, dip in seawater and slurp while the crab watches! lol! and so with the squids, i occasionally go along with squid boats and pluck the yummy calamari frim the lines and bite their butts off! and yes, those jumpin ghost shrimps are the best, you let the suka cook them till they turn opaque as they jump around and yum-yum!

Saltwater is a lot more simple. All you need is dyanmite. LOL

Actually, cyanide works better and silently and does not attract much attention...

That idea brings very nightmarish memories. When I was 13 years old, my uncle and his friends took me to go "fishing". Went to the highest peak of the source of the flow of the river, and used two tablets of cyanide the size of saucer plates. Along the way, we just picked up the fish gasping for air and the ones floating on the surface. Just don't eat the guts and gills. Even all the shrimp swam towards the shore. When I am reminded of cyanide, I feel condemned for being a part of such an activity. I feel more guilty thinking about it...
