onga pala mga pare question lang about my pacu, madumihin ba tlga ang mga pacu? kasi ung tubig ng 15gals ko na nkalagay sila every week nagiging color brownish ung 2big e.. every sunday i do a 80% waterchange sa kanila pero still same paren ang water every week... bakt ganun? nka overhead filter na malaki ung 15gals ko. need a little help.
 
madumi nga talaga, medyo. thats coz like oscars, pacus chew their food then pinapalabas yung mga sobra sa gills area. i think medyo maliit din yung 15g para sa apat na pacu

bibili na ako ng 50g para sa kanila by the end of the month mejo kapos kasi sa budget e kaya un.. edi pag nasa 50g sila kelngan ko ng madami overhead filters na?
 
di naman siguro, just make sure maganda ang filter media mo at malaki ang capacity ngoverhead set-up mo. and minimize feeding narin, mga twice a day lang. ano ba pinapakain mo?
 
panong maganda ang filter media? ang laman nung overhead filter ung pahabang sponge na rectangular. pinapakain ko sila ng quick grow na granules.
 
pare, maybe you can get some idea sa threads on filtration. yang sponge is only for mechanical filtering, that's not enough. i can't explain the whole process here. read more on filters and filter media nalang tol
 
yup and pacus grow so fast that maybe the 50 wont be enough. I have a friend who has 4 pacus with his rbps and they have out grown the 75 gallon tank in just 4 months.
