PS3 isn't a huge failure, not sure why this continues to persisit. The only way this is true is if you compare it to the wii, in which case both PS3 and 360 are behind.

As far as Blue Ray being worth it, that depends on what TV you have. On a 36" the difference between blue ray and DVD is nil. When you upgrade to a 50" the difference is huge. Also remember there was a High Definition add on drive for the 360, and we know what happened there :D.

Controllers are a matter of personal preference if you are used to heftier X-box controller the PS3 controller will feel weird, the same for the reveres.

The price is higher on the PS3 80GB ($400 at gamestop) than the 360 60GB ($300). You can't compare a 60 GB Xbox to a 60 GB PS3 as the 60 GB PS3s are backwards compatible and therefor worth more until Sony starts releasing them again.

Both companies have a long history of making really bad PR moves so neither can claim moral high ground.

The developers have an eaiser time with a 360 vs PS3. The 360 basicly a hardwareware fixed desk top with what would currently be obsolete technology by desktop standrads. The PS3 has a cell processor which while much faster and more power full but has a steep learning curve.

xbox 360 has created something better than the Wii which I am looking forward too...Project Natal....

Were in a recession, of course the cheaper system is going to sell more. Most of those sells probably come from the $199 core system too. I know alot of people who wanted the PS3, but ended up buying the 360 because it's what their budget could afford. The 360 only has 2 advantages over PS3, both of which can easily change.
1. More quality games
2. Better online experience

Like I said the 360 would need a whole new system for them to compete. There's no way the hardware compares to the PS3.

There is a 7.6 million unit difference between the 360 and the PS3 and 360 sales are slowing down where as PS3 sales are holding steady. The wii is beating both systems.

PS3 has both of these but game developers have bee slow to work with them. Eye-toy and the SOCOM voice command systems. If Microsoft can put it's boot up a developers rear it will work. The infra red as a planar range finder sounds like a great idea and would leap over the eye-toy and the Wii. Well looks like I'll have to look at a 360 as well.

i play ps3 like mad :D i dont own one but when i go to my friend's house or something im always playing it haha its sooooo addictive. he has call of duty 5. and other games i can never get off it :D

If the PS3 has such a huge andvantage in hardware, why do 99% of the games look better on the 360. There are numerous comparisons between COD4, GTA5 ect. And all the critics agree the 360 looks better. In some cases the PS3 was missing details like obejects, shadows, lighting ect.
