Conner, is that a Dragon Goby (Gobioides brousonnetti) in the background of the first pic?

Yes it is. He's between 17 and 18" long. I'll try to dig up a full body picture for you. He's the biggest dragon goby I've seen anywhere, even here on MFK. He's living and thriving in full freshwater.

You have a great fish.

I also have 2 bought at about the same 5" size and keep them in my 15K but might move them to the 52k soon. The first was bought from Pets Plus (John & Fred) in Lockport New York in 1999 and is approx 28 to 30". The 2nd I bought from Jerry Draper at the Tropical Fish Room in Brantford Ontario and is between 24 and 26".

These 2 eat a lot of small cichlids and small plecos they catch at night so are very fat. I also feed them pellets but only 2 times a week.

Moved both yesterday from the 15,000 to the 52,000 and could measure them.

The small one was 25 3/4"

The big one was 33" and weighed over 30 lbs.

Wow, I definitely have something to look forward to! He came out last night while I was still up, and I got a good look at him. He's pushing 7" now, and is still a little fatty. He's probably not going to be happy for a while, since I'm selling the tank he's in and moving him to another that won't have as good of a hiding spot.

Next time you gotta get pics of you moving such monsters. Or video. I'd love to see how you wrangle a monster like that.

Here is the youtube link of the smaller Pterodoras granulosus being caught in the 15,000 and moved to the 52,000
