My first instinct is to say that he is indeed this fellow...http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=721....(I assume this is the fish you meant?) although it's kinda hard to tell from that photo, got any pics from some other angles? He could be P. bufonius, but I doubt it.

yes, it looks exactly like the ranius just that the tail of my cat isn't white or transparent....it is dark brown with some spotted markings.... the tail looks like a rectangular fan.......

hahaha....i so agreed with you. not many ppl will like this fish, its ugly!! I bought it because I have never kept one before

it looks like an asian species. it looks just like my giant asian bumblebee cat minus the coloration though. eyes and fins are the same
