How about getting a tape measure shot with these fish. Some of those cichla look to be longer than it.... and a 20+ inch cichla.... is a damn awesome sight to see.

haaaaaa I have one but it looks like a yellow blank tape...lol I will try to find a yard stick and put up to it for ya neal;) some of the photos though you can tell pretty clearly...the tank is 4ft wide and 30" tall with river stone ...you can pretty much judge by the one pic that hes a little vertical but turning...when he is straight up and down his tail breaks the surface....but there are several people who have seen him in person that can verify ;) the monoc you are refering is approx 22" he is the biggest in the tank.
 
That thing is a beast, I love it.
