They arrived safe, sound and looking good. Thank you Pete from City of Angels. Pete was very easy to work with, very helpfull and answered all my questions very quickly. He even sent me seven fish when I only ordered six ( maybe I should have kept my mouth shut on that one) no just kidding, very cool thank you. I would also like to thank the guys in the in the CA/SA forum for posting some great acclamation info. so far so good. I even had them eat a couple NLS .5mm Thera +A pellets. They started picking at the plants like they were hungery so I put about 20 in the tank and they attacked them them. No more food now untill tomorrow night. Fingers crossed they acclamate and stay healthy.

Looking good, Tom. Congrats on your new fish!

Good score, Tom. They look very nice! I feel like a fish out of water on this forum though. I believe this is my first post in this section. But I had to check out your new arrivals. It would be nice to have a tranquil set up with Angels. I need to diversify and start a Discus or Angel tank. I hope your Altums continue to do well!

Thanks Neal, I acclamated by dropping them in. Looks like my TDS was higher then 80.

Thanks Al, You should do an AF or Discus tank it's very cool how you can have a beautiful aquascape and plants without having all the sand piled up in one corner of the tank;) I also know what you mean about posting outside your "home forum" haha.

Looking good. I always think eating is a good sign. Good luck.

Any full tank shots?

I agree, eating is always a good sign. I checked on them this morning and all 7 are looking good and alert.

This is something I've wanted to do for a long time. I now have all 3 Pterophyllum species Altum, Scalare & Liopoldi and all wild cought fish. The angelfish hat trick. Working on the bucket list.

I'm glad they're all still doing well. I'm really impressed that you managed to acquire all three species as wild caught. No wonder you were so cautious about acclimation. Very cool!

What happened to the ventral fins? they look too short for Altums. Looks like they were trimmed or worst they survived the Altum disease. Just an observation. Good luck.

All baby altums at that size look like little tripods, it's normal.

The top fin of the solo fish in the second picture looks compromised, too. Sorry it's very obvious in the picture.

Yes it does, that's what could happen with wilds as opposed to domestic tank breed fish. Some of them go thru hell getting here.
