What's up Al? Well I'm down to four. Two died during the first couple of days and one is MIA, no idea where it went. The four survivors are doing well. They grew a little and seem healthy in all respects. I might order another three but I'll wate and see in another week if everything is good and I know they are continuing well. I would like to have at least 5 or 6 total.

No I don't use RO. I keep them in tap water filtered through peat moss, dose with prime and about three capfulls of blackwater ectract at each WC. I'm cutting back on the BW extract now to acclamate the to stright tap filtered through peat. The temp is kept at 85.5 now and I have a UV unit running on the tank as well., Ph sits at about 6.4/6.5 but I'm slowly starting to raise it. I want to get them to about 6.8. The altums are pretty hardy fish once they are acclamated to your water and I've had no issues with it so far. Their fins healed and they are growing well. I feed them NLS .5mm pelets and they eat very well. I added 3 blue rams to the tank a couple of weeks ago to give them some company and they are less shy and doing well in all respects. Another couple of months and they will go into the big tank. Maybe I'll post some new pics later.
