so my wife came home with a baby puffer today because she said it was too adorable to leave at the store. She got it from a chain store and the worker said he wasn’t sure what exactly it is but thought it is a GSP. I’m thinking it is a dwarf puffer but I truthfully don’t know. I have a GSP now but got it as a juvenile so never saw it this small. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Good guess, i'd say judging by that photo alone its a dwarf too...

So the photo is super zoomed in. The little puffer is probably about half an inch. Body is smaller than a dime. I don’t know if that confirms dwarf or means it’s young enough to be hard to tell, but just providing all the details. I appreciate all the feedback!

99.9% sure its a dwarf based on pattern and color, unless it grows to 2' long then i'd be stumped lol..

Good to know. Being so small do I need to do anything different as far as quarantine treatment? It’s in a quarantine tank, but I threw some plants and rocks in because it just looked so sad in a bare tank, hence the leaves in the photo.

Is it in a aquarium by itself ? If so it should be fine don't put anything bigger than the little puffer may small Tera like Neon's. Also Pea Puffer are totally freshwater .
