another thing, is it really a freshwater puffer? or do I hv to add salt?
though I saw it being kept in a FW tank in the lfs.

cheers

Please read the profile. It is found in the ocean, near Japan. Will live best, long-term, in marine conditions. It is a SW fish that sometimes visits BW & will even take a swim into FW occasionally.

The pattern (camouflage) on the puffer will vary with it's environment.
