"Puking 13 year olds"

ok so I would very much appreciate if you the MFK'ers could refrain from refering to teenagers as puking or constantly wishing we were gone or trying to make a rule to get us off of the site. I dont want to stir this up a giant argument or anything, but really there are some good teenage fish keepers on this site I personally hate taking blows, im not sure if im good by your standards but I feel like I do all right. im also dedicated, when I cant get a ride I grab my bike and go on a 12+ mile trip for the sake of my fish.


in other words
IF YOUR A PUKING TEENAGER GO PUKE ON SOME OTHER SITE!!! or just sit back and learn from the people here, they know a lot and they've been doing it for longer than we were alive.

thank-you for reading this hopefully this will help my cause I really had no intent of causing trouble just wanted you guys out there to know this.


also I heard someone had the bright idea of handing MFK cards at a local pet store so we can help the new people. if you do this please keep in mind we are going to have a lot more threads asking

"can I put an Oscar a jack Dempsey and a common sucker fish in a 30 gal?"

I feel the MONSTER before the fish keepers implies serious people people that feel fish keeping is a way of life, because it is, its beyond a hobby.

again thank-you for keeping us young ones in consideration, lately ive been reading more and more harshness.
 
haha im 17 and people complain and when i go to LFS they say i shouldnt keep the fish i keep...check out my 180g i bet i have a better and healthier stock than most 40 year olds...and i know alot more about fish keeping then almost every employee that works at the LFS...its just a stereotype...ignore it
 
I get the same thing and im 15. ladies lecturing about how their Pecos need to eat algae I just assimilate and say "they like nectarines too".
 
I get talked down to alot at pet stores for being 15 when Im buying fish, they act like I know nothing and shouldnt be keeping fish at alot of them excluding a special few. Their whole attitude changes when I start discussing my tank and then start pointing out the falsely named fish in their aquarium and talking about how I could buy ''that fish" at a pet store 10 miles away for half the price. Talk down to me and Ill make you lose more customers then just me b***h>=]
 
well yes, but this isnt really about the LFS I have a thread about that as well. loving the RTCXTSN normally im opposed to hybrids but I wish I had one of them how big is your tank?
 
atm my biggest is 215 but i get an upgrade generally every year, already looking for a 400g this year. Sadly I dont still have it or the red tail in that picture due to complications. Its a momento of my two favorite fish I've kept but I'm hoping my new baby RTC will beat both of them
 
Age has nothing to do with it. We have some young members here who act more mature than older folks. If you act like an adult, you will be respected as such. If you act like a hormone enraged teen that speaks as if he's text messaging, then expect to be treated accordingly.
