I have noticed the eating habits have now changed as the temperature has dropped as of now my pulchra only seems interested in meal worms or raw prawns. No longer interested in crickets earth worms or grass hoppers I noticed this last year with my rainbow snake head as well .Was wondering if this has something to do with the type of food available in the wild as the colder season comes in

That's pretty normal. They definitely slow down during colder times. We humans don't always eat the same foods during colder times, either.

Yep, as metabolism slows because of the cold, so does eating habits.
You only see this in channas because they are one of the few species to actually require these temperature changes. :)
