absolutely not. The intake to the pump is 1 1/2" diameter, cross sectional area is about 7 square inches. I have dual intakes from the tank coming through 2" bulkheads, cross sectional area is about 12.6 square inches each. The pre-filters on the intake have a combined cross sectional area of about 25 square inches each.
the intake and pre-filter will not restrict the pump even if it was running at 0 head.
