Hi Guys and Gals !

Would like to pump 2,000 gph in my 3 foot wet/dry , full set-up with double overflow (Hang off)

Running on my 210 gallon , also gonna run (2) xp3's

Should I get the
Mag 24 pumps 1700 gals per 6 foot
or
Mag 36 pumps 2350 gals per 6 foot

Is the mag 36 too much ?

how much is your overflow?
 
at 6 foot pumping up the mag drive 18 pumps 1700GPH and the 24 does 2900 GPH

I dont understand , what do you mean how much ? It is a double overflow , Wet/dry is made by Eshopps , and is 36 X14 X 16

Where did you get that spec ?
This is what I went off of

1ft 3ft 6ft 12ft
mag 18 = 1800 1500 1150 825 ( gph)
mag 24 = 2400 2000 1700 1000
mag 32= 3600 2900 2350 1250

ummm who made you tank?

AGA overflows are rated at 600GPH each.. so you have 2 of them you get 1200GPH total..

so a pump that pumps more then 1200gph would run your sump dry

I bought the tank from Fish 2000. It is made by E Shopps


AGA overflow ? is that the standard one ? I was told (but I dont know how much truth) that I could put one big pump in here and that the overflow would be sufficient , but the more I hear your input , Im getting concerned now .

If I do need another overflow , where do I hook it into , I already have the other overflow box hooked into the wet/dry

Sorry for the confusion , the overflow is acrylic .

My 210 (Glass) is made by Aqua I think.
 
please ABC no offence... mr harly seems a bit confused.. we are tring to figure out his overflow rating...
