Is Nero a red doberman... beautiful. thats sad about the shepard but maybe this is the job he was cut out to do..cichlid2006;3511968; said:our first dog, Ares, who turned out hyper aggressive due to a bad breeder and is now a guard dog with his aggression being focused:
at about 12 months+. He suffered badly from allergies hence his muzzle looks odd.

This is the dog we have now, Nero is now 3 and we got him at 10 weeks old from a very caring breeder.

i can imagine it must have been extremely hard to give Ares up...they are like that because they believe they are protecting you.. the problem is when they are so aggressive they don't listen and realize your not in any danger.. their aggression is first.. talk about it later.. i think you made the right choice since if he did bite he would most likely be put down...giving him up that way would be even harder.. so now you have the right dog in Nero.. i think he is beautiful ..cichlid2006;3512329; said:no not a doberman, he is a chocolate labrador and the opposite end of the aggression scale to Ares. so soft its almost unreal.
it really upset me having to give Ares away but we lived next to a toddler and around other families at the time and i didnt want anyone hurt.
the vet said it could take 6 months+ to train his aggression out but it also may never work, so we did the responsible thing and now his rage is focused with a job.
one "professional" trainer, out of a few we phoned, tried to blame us but the odd thing is Nero has been raised and trained the same way yet he is nothing like Ares. all the other trainers and the vet agree that sometimes you just have bad luck and end up with a mean dog. his rage was so bad he managed to pull me, weighing a muscular 19st, a few feet to try and get at a work mate who was dropping off some papers. if it had been the wife holding him he would have got my work mate.

Their hair is very silky and they do not shed. Their origin is from Australia and they are different from the Yorkshire Terrier. I love my Silky Terriers. Thanks Red Devil.Red Devil;3512388;3512388 said:they are so cute.. does their hair feel real silky.. do they shed? cute faces..
