Is it the lighting or is the fish really light colored??How big is the fish??Looks almost like one of my baby "Cost Rica" gold Dovii's.

The colors and markings look almost like a juvie salvini. The body shape also suggests this. I do see some JD in the body and fins too.

Interesting... I see some JD there, but it appears there is something else going on also. I am not aware of JDs being able to reproduce hybrids. When it gets older, we should be able to have a better idea.

the fish is small, a couple of inches max. I see the salvini resemblance with the markings, but to be honest the elongated body is where it throws me off, as stuff like salvini and texas are pretty tall bodied to me

i little fattened up and now adjusted his true marking have come out. i still see jd in there but not pure though but i dont see pure anything else for that matter. hes about 3"

To me the markings resemble my Salvini. It isn't common to see, but I have seen JD's crossed with Texas and a JD x Cuban cross. I'd venture to guess this is a JD x Salvini cross.
