Well, lol this sounds bad but I have other tanks. A 9 inch ornate, 8 inch sen, 7 inch endl, 5 inch albino sen, 9 inch fire eel, 2 blue gouramis and a oscar that was 2 inches when I put him in, now 3, which is the only reason I put in the dempsey. The oscar has like the bottom part of his eye looks like it got bit, maybe the oscar and jd fought?

Ya mines in a 55 with a dat same size a snowball plecko and 2 loaches they are all 3 inches so the dat got him good once and hasn't been a problem since

Okay, I left him in and he seems fine today not hiding at top of tank, and no damage. So I'm guessing the oscar learned lol. Thank you!
