Pure Red Devil or Midevil

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if it was like that then they are all Midas then. There should be no Red devils or vice versa. What is the point of the 2 different names?

uhh.. I think it is because they are 2 different fish. lol

I think it is a true cause it has the big lipd slightly longer snout and is not bulky like a midas or midevil also the lips but it could havr goten all red devil genes if bread with a pure A Labatius and midas so it may be a hybrid we will never know :D

Clearly you didn't read the information provided in the sticky, or you wouldn't be suggesting that it's pure labiatus based on just a few physical characteristics. I have seen "red devils" that could be that fishes twin, selling for $6 at the local Petsmart. They too were all hybrid crosses.

If it makes you feel better then believe whatever you will ............

Never mind guys fish died last night idk how or why but i woke up it was laying dead on the bottom R.I.P i think it was stressed out but it was breathing very hard i had changed the water and the tank had a devider but idk why it died im soo pissed right now i had a feeling this was going to be a bad a** fish

In your OPINION one can look and tell; and now you say petsmart's Reddevils look like this fish's twin and are hybrids.

Anyways, if no one can tell how come U can? I don't doubt you can or can't but if You can then that means there is some one.

Without proof to the contrary it's best to ASSUME that they're not pure and are hybrids.

Why does it matter? Because if you breed a fish of unknown provenance to one of known provenance...the offspring are of unknown provenance.

Or you can just lie and call them pure, true, F1, "Rio Monster" whatever. And, it seems, most people will take it hook, line and sinker. And ask for more.

QUOTE]

No one here has genetic x-ray vision and no one here can tell you what the genetics of your fish are by simply viewing a photo of your fish.

Pick one.
You can only pick one because one contradicts the other

Believe the supplier only deals with the hybrids, so its not a sight determination.

exactly..that's why the OP's fish would have to have bre assumed not to be pure
