Nice channel, always loved them, have a badarss carefree personality. Never seen an oscar in an outdoor pond before, well maybe Mass gets to cold for them, but what else you got stocked in the pond?
 
Keep it. There's a chance that it was tank raised and exposed to medicines, thus making it unsafe to eat. While some will argue with my suggestions, I'd say keep it or kill it. By keep it, I meant in captivity- either in your pond or give it to someone who can take care of it. Don't release it because if it was tank raised and exposed to meds, someone who catches it might eat it. And obviously, don't eat it since it could be harmful.

When i was about 8 that was about 20 years ago my sister and i were seineing for minnow at night on the beach and we caught one just like the one you have there. we did not know what it was we got it I.D.ed by the local DNR.
