that is definetly a white channel cat. a white catfish looks like this(even search it by its scientific name)

Why would you say that? looks like a channel cat to me and I've cought dozens if not hundreds of both over the years. Ameirus catus, often called a white bullhead, only occures naturally on the east coast. BTW they are not white, more of a steel gray with a large head like a bullhead but a forked tail like a channel cat. Much larger than most bullheads. Of course channel cats only occur naturally in the mississippi river system but I know that channel cats have been stocked in California waters and the albino strain is often sold in pet shops. I have seen channel cats that were white with dark eyes. A friend of mine bred several thousand a couple of years ago for a fish farm. Very pretty fish, nice eyes and more of a yellow color than the milky white of albino channel cats.
