pure white channel catfish (not albino)

its a stocked lake by private venders, so it may have come from a farm. ive just never seen one like it.

Just looks like a leusistic channel. I doubt it occured naturally but it is possible. If it was born that way, it would have got picked off a long time ago, but there is always a chance.

IMO I think it is just a channel cat someone let go and it was already big enough that nothing messed with it. My LFS has albinos and leusistics all the time, so that would be my guess.

Other than that I think you just cought yourself a nice channel cat.

That's what I think some idiot got it for their tank and when they found out that the tank was to small they released the thing.

I think it was a good idea to keep it. I don't think your hurting anything or anything like that if that is what your worried about. Especially it being a privately stocked lake.

ya, the pond big enough. and by the end of next year my 1350 tank should be done, and ill have a larger pond a couple years after that.

my channel cat is not an albino but is still white i dont think that its to uncommon among farm bread channels....
