It appears me and you can agree on something ! I am a real seachem whore. I got their matrix carbon and bio media , test kits , medications , stability , phos-guard , clarity you name it if its seachem I got it. Every one of their products walks the walk and does what it should. I was sure the stability would fail but even that works and I was one of the biggest skeptics about bacteria in a bottle.ewurm;592004; said:Definitely get prime, it is worth the money. I just added a third purigen pack to my LMB tank. Seachem products are the h-bomb.

Thank you seachemI saw that and I liked the idea but the concept was a bit out of my league so I stayed away from posting uselessly or without viable info. Can you let me know how it works for you ?OscartheGrouch;3235239; said:I recently made a new thread about using purigen in a fluidized bed filter instead of a nylon bag. Whenever it comes time to replace my purigen, it seems only the outside purigen in the compacted nylon bag is discolored and the stuff inside is still good. It just seems a fluidized bed filter will be much more effective.

I should stir mine good. Didnt think about that.Ocean Blue;3235803; said:I recommend to my customer that whenever they use filter material in a bag, Purigen, Phosorb, etc that they periodically take the bag out and mix the media so that the media deep in the middle will have a chance to be brought out to the surface, prolonging their usefulness.
