Purple algae that mbuna will eat.

Lost my 48" coral sun florescent tube also. So they are going to be eating alge faster, than it will grow. Going to try and re led, the 435nm on the led fixture.
150 gallons in the living room. I need to get busy with adding some rocks to the top tank.
It is nearly impossible to catch any fish, with out a full draining to fin level. So I have been pondering the all male tank.
The point in this tank is that he has all that beautiful algae growing. I only mentioned snails to help eat up the food that the fish don't eat that would otherwise get stuck in the algae.
I do have a colony of native Iowa snails, but they only thrive on the algea scrubber. In the green tank they are escargo . Except behind the overflow in the corner.
So nerite snails, move with out coming out of their shells?
So far mystery, and assassin snails have been turned into habitat for fry.
The algea growth is encouraged, as food for the mbuna, helps deal with, aggressive behavor.
The top tank has no algea, gets scraped about once a month. With just a pleco, a algea scrubber, and only 6500k fluorescent light for illumination.
The middle green tank, is illuminated with enouph light to keep a salt water reef alive.
I have a very diverse population, off things, most people would, exterminate, I think they compliment each other, and provide markers, as too the overall health of the tank.
