oscarrelease002.jpg

he taped out at 12.5"...have had him for 3 years. since he was 3 3/4"

either set-up a small pond in the garage with a heater, or back in the 55, but it only gets too cold for like 2 maybe 3 months. then its hot again....too hot IMO.

of course hes thick..lol. all he does is mope around and eat pellets all day. plus anything else i decide to feed him...hes my baby..lol.

lol. Sounds like my oscar. cant wait till he gets as big as yours. Mines just over a year and a half. Hes soo cool. I agree that it gets too hot here in cali. 2night at about 9pm it was 90 out.

i know.....the beach on sat. was only 75 though...wish i lived there.
but ya, just be consistent with the water changes and feed ALOT! and you'll have a 10"+ oscar in no time. mine got to about 9" the first year and a half then slowed down, then had a grouth spurt about a month ago and grew an inch.

nice O. mine is just a 7-8 incher. i really like the color on yours its beautiful

I have never seen a good looking albino oscar until I saw yours! Usually they look diseased from there color patters, but yours really does look great!

thanks fisher!..it looked really dull and yellow when i got him/her at abot 3-4 inches...the after about a month of everyother day %25 waterchanges, good food, hikari cichlid gol pellets, pond essentials (wich really kicks up a fishes ammune system) shrimp pellets, fathead minnows, and crawdads. oh and cant forget my 3" bluegill, and my irridescent shark, and my rocket gar (characin). spiders, moths....lol you name it.

im hopin he'll get HUGE! in here.

anyone think it would be a bad idea to get a couple more?
