How do you guys attach your plants to your driftwood without it floating away? ive tried fishing line, but im wondering if there is a better way to do it.

Im assuming your talking about live plants...if so I wouldnt use marine putty. Would be ok with plastic ones though.

What you can use is either thin fishing line or what I like to use is just regular sewing thread. over time the thread dissolves cause its cotton just leaving the attached plants behind. also if you go with a dark color you can barely see the thread when its on there. Fishin line has always stood out on top of driftwood for me and will be there forever thats why i dont use it, but it will work fine.

I've had success attaching my anubias plants onto driftwood with velcro straps. It's the same type that's used for tying up computer cables. I find it very easy to adjust the strap location as the anubias plant sloooooowly attaches it's roots onto the driftwood. If a longer tie-on is needed, I simply connect one strap to another to extend it's length. Given that my velcro straps are colored black, it doesn't show itself much.

I use rubber bands if I can get them on, or thread. By the time the thread rots usually the plant is attached.

first, find a clean piece ofsoft holee driftwood and tie it on o it will grow natrualy onto the driftwood.

depends on what plant ur trying to attach....if it's annibius i use fishing line...works a treat, but if it's any other kinda plant..yeh marine putty is the way to go!

How long will it take java moss to attach to my wood?

shouldnt take long dude, arrange the moss round the wood, and tie it using fishing line...works well for me
