You know what's funny/great? My wifes favorite fish is our Electric Catfish. I told her about this, and she said she would actually come with me if I could get off work. Checking if it's possible next week. I'd love to attend. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to get my Gulper finally!

Who has been to these things? How is the vendor section ? Are any Silurus catfishes sold there ?
Last time I attended the catfish convention I was extremely disappointed. I thought there would have been a lot more catfish for sale. The Sunday auction is decent, but again there were not that many catfish in the auction. Most of the catfish are sold out of rooms, so get there early for the best selection.

That's really odd, Joe, because I've found the Catfish Convention to be one of the best, most informative and most fun fish events around (I've been to the last two).

It would be hard to have a better list of speakers (on catfish): http://www.catfishcon.com/speakers.php

Whether a Silurus catfish will be for sale there or not isn't possible to know. There will be plenty of vendors and folks selling fish out of their rooms. And a giant auction (You can preview what's registered to be sold at www.mygroupauctions.com ... although I wouldn't expect much to be registered yet).

Both my club (CCA) and *** will be sponsoring hospitality suites at the event for registered attendees. I'll be there!

Matt
Speaker lineup at the catfish convention is always top notch. Last time I was there, I just expected to see a lot more species of catfish available, especially in the auction.

That was two years ago...so who knows what fish, plants, supplies, etc. will be available this year.

How about this: Enter a raffle at the Catfish Convention to win a trip to Peru to collect your own!

This is always a great event and I'm getting excited.

Anyone else going?
