pvc cement; this stuff friendly?

This is the exact same stuff I used.

Actually, it dries in a few minutes, and then all you have to do is flush water through it and it's fine.

I used it about 30 minutes after putting it together and everything was fine.

Did you use primer?

I ask anyway because I haven't bought it. I'm too lazy to go back out for one measly can of primer.. But I would if I have to.
 
I used straight christy's on mine. I love this stuff. It's flat out strong. I did not use primer but it you are going for the best possible outcome then primer can do nothing but help. I can't break my pipes apart, i literally end up breaking the pipes.

I think it's more about doing it right the first time. To me it's peace of mind to start up your system and know your glue joints are as solid as possible. I find myself getting twice as frustrated when I know that being lazy has now caused twice the amount of work to fix something.
