Hello All,

I am struggling to get this PVC overflow working. Managed it to somehow flow the water. However, the flow rate is almost zero.

I referred to the video made by Joey. I also saw an older post here but did not find it very helpful.

Drilling the tank is not an option at all.

Have attached the picture of my PVC.IMG_3329.JPG

Which side do you have in the tank and what is the water level? Pics in use?

And what is "almost zero"? an actual measurement would probably help tell if you're getting less than would be expected.

I tried that type of overflow and ended up with a flood after a week or two because it lost siphon. If you want to go with an HOB overflow, then I highly recommend getting one of the professionally made types from CPR. They are much more reliable than the PVC types. Other than one of the professionally made HOB overflows, I think drilling is the only other option. You say that you cannot drill the tank, but as long as it’s not tempered, then you can drill it, even with fish in it.

This isn’t on the left hand side of the tank.
The output is not even .5gph

It is placed on the left hand side of the tank.

Flow is barely 1 gph and the overflow pipe size is 1inch.

Attached few pics. Hope that helps understand this.

Drilling would be the last resort and I do not want to reach there.
Would rather buy an hob . However at this mo
You need to prime the overflow with water and then put a cap on the outside stand pipe to keep full syphon. That is the only step you missed

Thank you for your reply... had figured this out while priming it yesterday but faced the flow issue after that
