umm, so should i cut 2 peices 10" (my tanks 20" high.) the part where the water flows 7"
and the back part 9" or what?

ball valve for a shutoff?

heh? here are pics.. the black thing? the ball valve? i couldent find... so i bought something kinda like it that does the same thing but bigger lol..

Finished lets hope it works.

i know its really really freaking wide, but its the only way we could make it without the ball valve.

cant wait to see it in ure tank man.

ball valve or check valve?

Milkman, I think your gonna want the intake on inside of the tank to be just at water level. Because even when your pump is off it will drain all the way down to how low your intake level is. I dont'n know how big of a sump tank your gonna use but it might overflow it.

Also you can get a check valve at any LFS for under a dollar.

Lookin good so far though ;)

at a boy, i knew youd get it. way to go bud

you could have used a check valve instead to prevent backflow. the inlet looks a bit low too.
