Pvc pipe in aquariums??????????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Silicone sealer won't stick too long to pvc in warm water and will quickly discolor with the addition of many meds. Your best bet would be to use PVC or all-plastic cement (sold in the PVC aisle, too). The cement bonds all PVC and ABS plastics. It is also inert once cured.

build a C shaped section with a pair of 90's and three short sections and then build a rock face to hide it. instant cave system.

I've done this myself. Works a treat for breeding pleco's. As a recommendation, try not to make the PVC too wide than the fish you want going in there. A tighter 9But not too tight) cave is probably the best.

PVC Pipes are amazing things, I made a tunnel structure with a few and my fish love them. If you want to stick rocks to the pipes I used a regular hot glue gun and craft hot glue which has no harsh chemicals in them. I even covered a few of my structures with Java moss which gives them a natural flare.

The java mosss sounds interesting but would that last for fish that eat plants?
