PVC?

Is PVC piping safe to use in aquariums? Can it be painted without affecting the water? I am trying to make a good hiding place for my pleco.

pvc is fine..im not shure abot painting it tho, if you do check on the web for some good paints for water and i would soak the painted pvc for a while in a 5 gallon bucket to see if it cips or cracks..

PVC is fine. I've used it for years: both the white and black kinds.

You can paint it with Krylon fusion spray paint. Just let it dry really well.
