I STARTED PLUMMING MY 90G
do i need to use the pvc glue..
ill have pics soon

you should first pre-clean all your fittings and ends of pipes with pvc cleaner and then glue them together with pvc cement. Another popular step is to use pvc (purple) primer on all surfaces to be glued together.

is it 100% nessary..
i will be moveing soon and dont wanna rebuild it...

will it fall apart w/o it

it will probably leak without it

ok i got alot of work to do :(

Something I do on my set ups is use threaded unions so I can "un-do" everything and put it back together with out cutting up my lines. You do need water tight fittings though, they will leak otherwise.

ok.. im going tommrow.. i had to go anyway to get 3/4 and 1.1/2 pvc anyways..

what is the glue called?

just ask for PVC glue, they should point you in the direction of the glue/primer kit

Depending on location one can use hose clamps and Vinyl tubing. In most aplication the water pressure is low you don't have a blow out. In my situation where I have a sump I let the water flow through the tube in to the sump (no pressure what so ever) and back to the tank using a Mag-Drive 300 with vinyl tubing. No problems for over 10 years other than in my 100 gallon which discoloured from Rid-Ich.
