Ok I have 4 of these wicked little fish had them coming up to a week and although I see them picking at things in the tank, I have yet to see them actually eat. They were wild caught fish and when I got them had only been in the store a short time so had not yet been eating they rang from around 1.5 cm to 2cm tried flake, blood worm, brine shrimp with no joy. Any other suggestions please ?

See if you can get some pest snails from the LFS... those little guys love small snails to eat... that might work?

Btw, do you have a lot of cover and driftwood to break up the lines of sight to cut down on agression

Well I work at my lfs and we always have those in wild cuaght and we feed them live blood worms for some reason they won't eat frozen there also not as aggressive as everyone makes them out to be ive kept them in all my community tanks with no aggression issues

I had a colony of 6 in a 40 gallon breeder a few years back. They didn't tolerate tankmates at all. The tank needs to be heavily planted and aquascaped with wood, rocks ect to create a visually complex environment for them to explore, helps with agression. I fed mine pest snails, frozen bloodworms, mysis, bits of krill and clams in the shell which I would crush with pliers so they would have to bite the shell and get the meat. I also had a good male to female ratio, I had two males and four females. The store I got them from would let me trade them in until I got a good ratio. They are pretty cool. I never had problems as long as I kept a good sex ratio and had a very visually complex tank, and no tank mates. Anyway, that is my experience.

When I got them from petco they were in brackish water and died the next day. [I also put them in brackish water because I trusted petco employes.] Later I got 2 and I putthem in fresh water with driftwood, plants, and a moss ball to hide behind, they died in 48 hours.
