Do all the Nattereri Red bellies loose the Red in Adult stage? Any types that seem to stay Red?

Please share the different types of nats. I'm curious how many different types there are..

Each "individual" is different so the red color may come or go. Based on my experience, the red color tends to fade into a shade that is much darker to almost purplish dark red. I'm sure others with huge natts can also chime in.

I'm thinking of getting a shoal of Natts and was just wondering if there was a was some tips to look for when selecting Natts

Colors fade on most all pygo's, however I have seen large Tern's that were a foot and had yellowish bellies, Piraya tend to keep some nice orange at super large sizes. Natts and caribe just get a faded dark red almost just a hint. Caribe also loose there cool humeral spot at like 10"s or better some less, it just fades out.

Standard natts tend to fade in color, however, I am not certain about "super" reds..

If you feed your rbp shrimp it will help maintain the red. But it won't be as bright as younger natts

Hm..I've never heard this. My shoal was fed raw shrimp, tilapia, and pellets throughout their lifespan and it never seemed to affect their color through maturity. I guess every fish is different.
