I cant be the only person having this issue, but it sure seems like it. I recently picked up the aqueon water changer part and connected a garden hose to it. So far so good. I have been connecting it to my kitchen sink, but as many have found out, cheap plastic threads against the metal ones on the sink dont go so well. So I want to pick up the brass fitting to put an and to that.

Thus far most of the brass fittings I'm finding are male to male fittings, so faucets with female threads and male aerators. I guess my sink is weird, the faucet has male threads on it, so I need a female to male adapter. I found this guy-

http://www.amazon.com/Python-Adapte...4&sr=8-4&keywords=python+brass+faucet+adapter

However it appears from looking at it the female side is the 3/4" threads, which is a no go, that is much larger than my faucet threads, 3/4 would be a garden hose size roughly. Am I wrong about that? There has to be someone with a male threaded faucet out there.

naw man...i hook mine to my bathroom sink...female threads. The metal on plastic bugged me the first few times I did it, but I havent stripped or crushed a thread yet so Im still optimistic.

Unfortunately the bathroom faucet isn't threaded as far as I can tell, which sucks as it is closer. I've done a bit more research, I had overlooked this guy-

http://www.amazon.com/Python-Brass-Adapter-for-Aquarium/dp/B000255NX2/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t

I did so because it looked like male and male ends. But, on Python's website here-

http://www.pythonproducts.com/faq.html

They state-
You may have received a 69HD brass adapter instead of the 13A. For faucets with inside threads use as provided. For faucets with outside threads, remove the large white washer.
Following the link they provide to parts-

http://www.pythonproducts.com/orderforms.html

They show the brass adapter, 69HD, the part I just linked to Amazon. It shows the rubber washer pulled out with threads inside of it. So I'm thinking this might be the winner? I mean it is only $8 so it isn't the end of the world to buy, but still.

Sorry to respond with another question here, but does anyone know if this adapter could possible work for an Aqueon water changer as well? I’m having the same problem with my Aqueon and I haven’t figured it out yet
