Python AWOL

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
or the wrinkly could mean he was getting ready to shed esp. if his skin is now duller and the humidity wasn't correct obviously once he was outside his enclosure so its somewhat delayed for the time being, but you should be able to recognize that much more easily esp. since you stated you raised snakes before. However with that said due to the yawning and such, i am guessing it's more likely what slithering herps said...and if you notice mucus by the mouth..as well, then its def. respitory.
Next time it escapes, first place I would check is under the bed, thats where my bp went twice.

As far as rejuvinating it, if everything checks out allright, then I would just feed it shortly, as mine doesn't explore its tank attempting to escape nearly as much when it isn't hungry.

my girlfriend would have my head on a platter if i ever let my snake escape its cage. She said she'd never move in with me if i got a python :(

if you have not found... check plug ins if hallow under dresser check found two of mine there and a leo. haha ive had alot get out sadly.

Ok, just put him back and leave him totally alone for a week or two, give him plenty of hidey spots and well done for soaking him, try and see if hes drinking. If so, hes fine, though he might have a respitary infection coming on so get him to the vets for a check up :) I'd up his temps up a FEW degrees till you get to the vets to help him out with recovering, and in a week or two offer some food.

Well done on finding him! :)

okay, heres another update:

I took him to the vet a few days after I found him, they said hes just a little rattled, thirsty, and hungry. Boy was he hungry! He has easten 3 mice since then, shed, and is now looking better than ever.

Thanks alot for everyones concern, etc

Good to hear that hes good. I also had an escape w while back , unfortunately when found the snake had developed a strong respiratory illness and passed away shortly after.
