Python/Boa Question

OK hear is a question that I would like answered. Not sure if anyone can though...

Let's say their was a snake room with several pythons. One of the pythons had IBD, he was uthenized and the rest sold to make fast money. (that didn't work ither)Now, over a year later, this person would like to own another python BUT is affraid that the room may be contaminated. His favorite type of snakes are pythons and boas. What can be done to ensure that if he get's a new snake, nothing bad will happen to it.

I suggest removing and thoroughly cleaning everything that was in that room, and I mean every bit of furniture, caging, supplies, etc etc. Then effectively clean and disinfect all the walls, baseboards (if any), doorframes, etc....essentially clean EVERYTHING like it has cancer growing on it.

Even after all that, I don't think the risk is 100% gone, but short of simply never using the room for snakes again, I would think the risk is pretty darn slim.

Thanks Ophi, I was thinking of never using it again of getting a non boa/python snake.

I can't move my fishtank to get behind it, my monitor cage is "huge" and it very hard to move, i will do my best.

Clean it all really really good...like your animals' lives depend on it. Once, you think you've gotten it all really well...clean it two more times!
