customer came in with a questin. he want to know the best way to hook up a python to his canister filter.
i asked him why he would want to and he replies so that he doesn't have to drain and add water to the tank. he said he has two oscars in a 55 and they get real messy. he is tired of draining water and refilling the tank when he vaccums the gravel
i looked at him like he was as smart as a cinder block.
please tell me that i am not the only one who thinks this guy asked a stupid question.

it's amazing how many mis-informed walmart fishkeepers are out there. But everyone has to learn from somewhere.

Your confusing stupidity with ignorance...
Did you explain the nitrogen cycle, the effects of even minimal (20-40ppm)longterm exposure to NO3 on fish and the need to remove it via water change?

yea, i set his straight after a 30 min lesson on fishkeeping and maint

May be he wanted to hook up the gravel vac and use the micron filter to do a good job with the clean up and then do a water change. Ive heard some people do that. I got a mag 350 but never even used the micron filter,(or carbon for that matter) I just use my python no spill and fill. Its the best invention in the world imo.
