Python Molurus Bivittatus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah Im never gonna feed live mice again, cause as you adviced,
its not nice to live with an mean Python.
So thanks Coura, for your advice. I like to be well adviced when starting
a relationship with a potentially deadly animal.
And its the reason why I like ]V[onsterFishKeepers. The knowledge.

I've been re-arranging his enclosure, and I fed him a small rat (defrozen), some days ago. Not to overfeed, but I wanna see if he's got a problem growing. Bit in doubt if he's a he.
But when he's settled, I'll try to find out.

High in the room:

Is this enclosure, with on the right his 10g pool:

And more accesible bark:

So even nocturnal animals are pleasant pets:

Its like living in a Zoo!

Thenks!
Im still making up my mind wich pets to grab in case of an emergency,
but my Python, which is now called: 'Bayon', is second, for sure.

My cat doesnt like being in the livingroom anymore sincs Ive let him smell the Python.
Pitty, because my cat is my number one.

very cool, you never see the normal colored ones any more. I think they are cooler but all I see are albinos...

Yea, I just saw a purple albino.. beautiful, just not my kinda beautiful.

I hope the albinos have not the same eye problems as my Oscar.
(Which I didnt have chosen but have rescued.)

^^ I take it hes on live feed atm? I couldnt do that too much for me i think although frozen mice dont seem to bother me for some reason.

yea i cant. one of my boas was on live for a short while just to get him to kickstart eating again.
i couldnt put the rat on to him, i just felt like i was sending it to his death.

as for my burm lol i fed him a large rabbit last night and if it was live im not sure the burm would have come out unhurt.

try ad get on defrost asap, healthier all round.

I fed him a small rat last monday, and to be sure, it was a defrozen one.
From now on Im not mentioning the defrosting, cause it speaks naturally,
especially after your advice, Chloe. Healthier all round.

Question: Should I wait feeding him till he's finished shedding?

Another question: Is it vital to prepare the food with a vitamine/mineral powder?

I maintain a very high humidity in his enclosure to make the shedding more
easy, and Im pretty sure he's grown one inch :nilly:since I got him.
And thats two weeks.
I noticed yesterday, when we were basking on the roof.
Hes very laid back, never exaggerates one muscle. Too cool.
