so i want to know if something exactly the same as the python exists or if there is somewhere i can get one for cheap?

We have them on clearance at my Wal-mart here for $25 right now. I'm picking up one on Thursday if they are still there, which i'm sure they will be.

Really walmart? Walmart here never has anything good... 25$ for which one? The 25ft one?

I prefer the Aqueon brand one... The plastic is higher quality and the design is better IMO.

My thoughts as well. When I first got it, I didn't like it as much as my python because it was more difficult to roll up 50' of it, but my python was about 15 years old and very broken in. Now my aqueon is broken in and is pretty easy to use and store. Works great

ive had the exact opposite experience. My Aqueon one (that i got used with a tank, granted) did nothing but blow hoses (even with hose clamps) and shoot faucet water all over the kitchen. Gotta admit it did build up some serious pressure though.

OP i do believe there is also a DIY version in that forum section as well

Not sure if my python is defective or not but, it has sprayed at the faucet since day one. My simple solution was to drape a dish towel over the connection when using it.

Waste of money in my opinion. After owning one with a cheap plastic fitting which connects to the tap / faucet. It breaks far too easily considering the price point. I now use a syphoning hose connected to a gravel vac. Then refill with a hose from the tap. All in cost about £15 / $20 and will last for years. Job done.
