I was actually reading and it crawled over my arm : ) I was more happy than shocked, as I didn't know it had escaped! I had thought the large female in the tank had eaten him.
I read somewhere that you can take a freshly killed rat and wipe it along the baseboards of the house. place a hide box and heating pad somewhere along the baseboard. the snake will follow the scent trail and is likely to camp out in the hide box once it finds it.
