Python, recommend? yay or nay

Definitely a must have for me. I don't think I can do a water change anymore without a Python.

The python is great. Makes water changes a pleasure.

I like the fact that it helps siphon out the water, but I am not comfortable refilling my tanks with water directly from the tap. In Florida, you can smell the chlorine coming out of the shower/tap. Perhaps when I live in an area that does not suck, I will fill my tanks directly.

I wouldn't do it any other way, and all we have are 2 tremendously overstocked tanks (5, and a 46). It makes you keep up on wc better than you would using buckets, or at least thats how it was for me. I used to be like, hmm, do I really need to take out that last 10 gallons or not, now I can take out 2 gallons or 45 gallons with the same amount of work. However, I do not have an actual python, I made one. We have waterbeds, and I already had a hose and a gravel vac, there wasn't much else to have to go get, but our friend bought the same stuff and made one from scratch at half the price of a 50ft python. Here is the article I used:

Cleaning your tank with a bucket sucks. Big time! I will get a python eventually, but for now, I have to lug buckets. oh well, the water isnt gonna change itself!
