If you add the conditioner to the tank after you are done you have to dose for the whole tank. Thats why I don't use the python when filling my tanks back up. I use prime for my conditioner and use a 4 gallon bucket. I put 8 drops from a eye dropper in the bucket put it in the bathtub and fill it up and the water stirs the prime up. If I waited until the tank was full I would have to add enough for 150 gallons instead of whatever I add say 30 gallons.

If you have 150 gallon tank, and only add enough that's recommended for 30 gallons the whole tank isn't really covered.

You can still do it all in one.Toss the end of the python out the window to drain,its faster than the sink.Then just pull it in and hook it to the sink to refill.

If you add it to the tank as a whole and only add enough for what you took out its not gonna do its job because theres a lot more water in there then the dose you put in. If you read the bottle on the prime it tells you the same thing. Sorry for the confusion I should have explained it better I guess it came across that I only does the bucket once but I does each bucket I fill.
