I just bought a python system and changed my water today. They are AWSOME! Then again...it's new. Any problems I should be expecting or ways to prevent any problems?

dont overtighten the fittings they will twist right off and the top half needs a large allen key to keep tight they loosen all the time and leak just look down inside were it threads on to the faucet you will see it

let the water spash onto the suction tube and onto the water surface when refilling the tank

they are awesome
youre right!

it helps de-gas the water. Hold it almost horizontal so the water comes out of the hose (small) and onto the suction tube(big) and then onto the water. If you would like i can take a pic.

pic please :)

i just lift my python real high, so when the water comes down, alot of oxygen bubbles hit the bottom of my tank. and i just move around the whole tank until its filled.

youre alright then lol...next time i have it out i'll take a pic.

When done using avoid leaving pockets of water in the tube. This will leave to mildew or moldy growth that will be a pain to clean.

Convert your python so that a pump can be attached to it. taking out water will be faster and will use less water from the faucet.

also, if your tank is higher than the sink its hooked to, once the siphon starts shut the water off and it will continue to flow.
