  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
mine sucks water and poo out just fine and i turn the faucet off as soon as the siphon starts.
the only thing i dont like is it leaks water out of the top green threaded part that attaches to my brass connector.

I take it you get yelled at for leaving puddles next to the sink as well?

My problem with pythons is they are really freaking expensive for a hose. I bet they make them in some backwards little country for $2 an hour to make it even more irritating. I got mine free with the tank so I use it but without the adapter for the sink. Not too intrested in buying one stinking part for $10 either.

If everything is screwed together tightly then it will not leak. Or yours is defective, it's not made to leak.

the "T" part comes unscrewed as i screw it into the brass fitting. and using my bathroom sink i cannot spin it back on more than a couple threads..

If it leaks wrap the threads with teflon tape. My faucet attachment broke after 3 years and I bought the aqueon equivalent from petsmart and found it to be an improvement though suction still not strong enough for large waste like pleco poo on sand especially since sand doesn't pulverize the waste like gravel does. Still beats the hell out of the 12 5g buckets for a 50% water change in a 150g

I see what you mean. I was hoping that wasn't the issue. I've had it happen before. Just try and tighten before hand....bout all you can do.

my tank is in the basement rec room so gravity won't work. I hate to use water to remove water but with my back problems there is no other choice. what I did was to remove the big end and just use the hose. this increases the suction a lot and it's great for cleaning under the wood. wastes water, but if not for the python I would have a 30 gal tank instead of my 120 gal.
